The program may be of a general or specific nature (eg specializing in a field such as news, sports, education, or a youth program).

This includes programs made available to users free of charge and by subscription only.

Definition / Belongs to this divisionThis sector includes telecommunications and related activities through which speech, data, text, audio and video signals can be transmitted. This can be done with telecommunications equipment that uses one technology or combines several. A common feature of the activities in the sector is that the content is transmitted without their involvement in its creation. The basis for grouping within the sector is the infrastructure operated.

In the case of the transmission of a television signal, telecommunications may involve the interconnection of the programming structure of complete channels into program packages (manufactured in sector 60) for distribution.

- operation, maintenance and upkeep services providing access to the fixed telecommunications infrastructure (voice, data, text, voice and video transmission equipment):
- operation and maintenance of switching and transmission equipment by means of telecommunications between two points on a telephone line, in a microwave or a combination of a telephone line and a satellite connection
- operation of a cable distribution system (for example: for the distribution of data and television signals)
- telecommunications using its own equipment for the transmission of telegraphic and other non-voice signals
