8532 - Technical and vocational secondary education

Definition / Belongs to this divisionPrograms in this division are characterized by subject specialization as well as the theoretical background and teaching of practical skills generally associated with current or future occupation. The purpose of the training can be e.g. providing the general knowledge necessary for employment, but also preparing for a specific occupation or profession. Training can take place in the classroom, on radio, television, via the Internet or in the form of distance learning.

This division includes:
- all vocational training under tertiary education (see 85.4) (in the current education system, preparatory training of vocational schools for basic and intermediate level occupations in the National Training Register is included, as well as preparatory training occupations in the National Training Register within the framework of adult education).

854 - Higher education

Definition / Belongs to this divisionThis subsector includes secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate, post-secondary non-tertiary level and higher education training programs. Admission to the level is conditional on at least a high school diploma or equivalent training. This sub-sector includes all forms of higher education, e.g. higher education provided in an institution, in school-based education, at work or at home, or on radio, television, the Internet or in any other form.

At this level, a large number of specializations are possible, some of which may provide more theoretical knowledge and others more practical knowledge.

Training can take place in the classroom, on radio, television, via the Internet, or in the form of correspondence.

855 - Other education

Definition / Belongs to this divisionThis subsector includes any general and professional training for professional, hobby or self-development purposes.

This sub-sector includes group and individual sports courses in camps and schools, foreign language training, arts (drama, music) training and other vocational training, which are mainly organized for adults and do not belong to subsectors 85.1-85.4.

8551 - Sports and recreation education

Definition / Belongs to this divisionThis sector includes, for example, group and individual sports training in camps and schools. This includes both full-time and multi-day sports camp training. The training can take place in an organized way, in different forms in the customer's sports facility, training ground, educational institution or in another way. Training in this field is formally organized.

This division includes:
the sports course (baseball, basketball, cricket, football, etc.)
- sports training in training camps
- the gymnastics course
- the riding course, riding school
- swimming course, swimming lessons
- activities of professional sports instructors, teachers and coaches
- a martial arts course
- the course of the card game (eg the bridge)
- leading a yoga course, activities of yoga instructors
